Ted Tsatalios

Ted is the Head of the International Management Consulting Practice of a Boutique Global Consulting Firm, based in New Jersey, USA. He has more than 15 years of international experience in strategy, organizational management, operation & consulting.

Prior to joining Management Consulting, Ted worked for the Maritime Sector holding Executive positions in Operations, Marketing & Product Innovative Development. Before that, he worked for the Banking Sector holding positions in Private Banking, Inter-bank Trading which involved Structure of Financial Products & Services along with Advisory Services for businesses, organizations & individuals.

Ted holds an MBA in Finance from the University of La Verne, California, and BA in Economics from Montclair State University, New Jersey. “

Evangelos Zirintsis, Ph.D.

Evangelos is an experienced professional in the area of Business-IT Consulting. He has a broad educational background reaching up to the level of Ph.D. in Software Engineering from the University of St. Andrews, UK.

His experience spans across two pillars: business and technology, allowing him to be able to understand both worlds and integrate the principles of one domain into the other; and academic and industrial experience allowing him to understand the applied theory and the practical implications respectively.

Evangelos has worked for successful and prestigious institutes and companies. His academic experience involves teaching and research, managerial and administrative duties.

His industrial adventure covered roles from software engineering (development, design, architecture, releasing, dev-ops, technical lead, and release management) to business analysis, project management and product management.

Evangelos enjoys outdoor activities as well as spending time with his family and DIY.

Kostas Zafeiris, Ph.D.

Kostas completed his undergraduate studies in Byzantine and Modern Greek Philology at the University of Cyprus, and then read for a Master of Letters in Late Roman, Early Medieval and Byzantine Studies at the University of St Andrews. After he had completed his military service in the Greek Army, he returned to St Andrews to play some more golf, but also to pursue further research on the Byzantine chronicle tradition, focusing on the text of the Synopsis Chronike, for which he was awarded his Ph.D. in Byzantine Studies. He is currently at the University of St Andrews as Project Manager for a new Advising System, part of the Senate Efficiency Review.

He has taught at the University of St Andrews and Queen’s University, Belfast, covering topics ranging from the history of the Byzantine Empire and Mediaeval Europe and Middle East, to the Crusades and themes of religious and ecclesiastical history. He has also taught Classical Greek and Modern Greek to foreigners. His research is mainly focused on the tradition of Byzantine Historiography (inter-textuality, narrative structure and literariness of the texts), the period of Late Antiquity and the ‘clash of civilizations’ at the time of the Crusades, as well as the use of History in computer games. Research for the latter has proven particularly arduous.

Rebecca Sweetman, Ph.D.

Rebecca is Professor of Ancient History and Archaeology in the School of Classics, University of St Andrews, Scotland. Previously, she was Assistant Director of the British School of Archaeology (BSA) in Athens. She has excavated in Corinth, Crete, Melos and Sparta, and run archaeological surveys in the Peloponnese and Cycladic islands. Her expertise is in Roman and Late Antique Greece. Her work has been influential in shaping perceptions of both the Romanization and Christianization of Greece. Her books include The Mosaics of Roman Crete: Art, Archaeology and Social Change (2013) and Roman Colonies in the First Century of Their Foundation (2011). Rebecca is also an award-winning lecturer at the University of St Andrews, where she teaches undergraduates and postgraduates on the archaeology of Greece.

Brad MacKay, Ph.D.

Brad is Professor of Strategy in the School of Management, University of St Andrews, Scotland. Previously, he was Professor of Strategy at the University of Edinburgh Business School, where he also held positions as Associate Dean for Engagement, Head of the Strategy and International Business Group, and Director of the MBA programs. His research focuses on strategy formation, execution, and scenario planning. He consults widely in the profit, public and non-for-profit sectors. Brad currently sits on the Executive Council for the Chartered Institute of Bankers, the oldest banking Institute in the world. His work has been covered widely in the media, including the Financial Times and Wall Street Journal. He has been a regular commentator on business and political events for the BBC and CNN International. He teaches courses in both strategy and scenario planning at the University of St Andrews.

Jiorgis Kritsotakis, Ph.D.

Jiorgis is the Head of the Management Consulting Practice of a Leading Global Consulting Firm’s Communications and Media sectors, based out of the Athens office. Jiorgis has more than 12 years of international experience in strategy and organizational consulting.

Prior to joining the Athens practice, Jiorgis worked from the firm’s London office. Jiorgis also regularly lectures on strategy and innovation.

Jiorgis holds a BSc in Marketing Management from the University of La Verne, California, an MBA in Innovation and New Venture Management from the University of Stirling, UK and a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the University of St. Andrews, UK.

Anthony Ioannidis, Ph.D.

Anthony is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He has previously taught at the Hellenic Open University, the University of Patras, the Hellenic National Defense College, the University of La Verne California, and Baruch College – The City University of New York.

Anthony holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Athens, and, an M.B.A. in Finance, an M.Phil. in Management Planning Systems, and a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Baruch College – The City University of New York. He also possesses working experience as management consultant with leading consultancy and telecommunications firms in the United States and Greece, in the areas Telecommunications, Media and Technology. His current research interests include strategy formation, organizational design, privatization, public-private partnerships, and technology entrepreneurship.

David Bernsley

David is an educational professional with expertise in curriculum, change management, school finances, leadership, and strategic planning. He holds a Master’s Degree in Education from SUNY New Paltz and is presently a doctoral candidate in Educational Leadership at Manhattanville College.

David is the Superintendent of Schools at the Mount Pleasant Cottage Union Free School District. He was previously a High School Principal for eleven years. During his recent six years as the Monroe-Woodbury High School Principal, he encouraged his staff to collaborate on a vision for academic success based solely on those elements that were best for students. With this focus always in the forefront, his team adhered to a four-step management approach: identify areas of concern; create plans of action for improvement; initiate implementation; and assess/refine continuously. Their discussions and ultimate decisions were informed by data, research, discussion, and best practices.

David does not subscribe to a “Top-Down” or “Bottom-Up” approach. Rather, decision-making is shared in order to foster a collaborative spirit among all stakeholders. Through clarity of mission and support of students and staff, David, along with his team, has fostered a professional community willing to take chances in creating innovative programs to enhance student learning. The outcome has been record-high graduation rates for both special education and general education students, as well as a nomination as a Newsweek Top 100 School.

Earlier in his life, David played professional basketball in Israel for six years. He and his wife, Karen, have five children and are based in New York.

EVITA PSONI

Evita holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Economics, a Master’s Degree in Services Management with a concentration in Advertising and Communication, and a Licentiate Diploma from the Teacher Education Program from Athens University of Economics and Business. She also holds a Degree in Human Resources Management from Deree College while being a Stavros Niarchos Foundation Scholar.

Evita has been teaching in the private sector to adults and minors for the last 6 years. She has also worked in the shipping, the tourism, the banking and the telecommunications sectors. She is an active researcher and has published several articles in renowned International Scientific Journals and Conferences in the field of innovative methods in education and training. She is a Mentor-Coordinator in the Teacher Education Program of Athens University of Economics and Business, where she occasionally lectures.

She is a musician and a soprano, enjoying the culture that can be inculcated through all kinds of art.

NIA FOES

Nia is a Greek-American-Ecuadorian, born in S. Arabia, raised in Greece, and lived in the US as well. She holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration, and Theater Arts from the University of La Verne California. She also attended graduate courses on Drama Therapy at Lesley University in Boston. She has 10 years of experience working with students and groups on different projects through her Non-Profit “Creative Bridges”.

Nia was elected and served in the local council of the municipality of Marathon and has an extended 15 year experience in social media marketing and event organizing while collaborating with different companies and individuals.

Nia also works as a life coach and enjoys working with young people, as they are always thirsty for guidance and have enormous will power to create an impact to the world. She has patience and is a perfectionist. She spends her free time writing articles for magazines and newspapers and doing voluntary work on local economy projects after the crisis began in Greece.
